SYLVIA JEAN (MLENEK) WEILAGE, age 67, of Waseca died on Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Waterville Good Samaritan Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on July 27, 1942 in Morristown, Minnesota she was the daughter of Frank and Opal (Schwanke) Mlenek. Sylvia graduated from Morristown High School in 1960. She married Robert Wolf and had four wonderful children. They divorced and Sylvia married Henry Weilage and they were later divorced. Sylvia worked at Brown Printing Co. in Waseca for 31 years. She loved her job and made some very dear friends there. Sylvia enjoyed her many shopping trips to Hy-Vee and Wal-Mart. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and watching her favorite channel, The Weather Channel and listening to the radio.

She is survived by three children, Brian (Eileen) Wolf of Millington, TN, Ron (Janean) Wolf of Waterville, and Vicki (Bill) Bartelt of Waterville; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Wolf of Waterville; eight grandchildren, Simon, Kaleena, Larissa, Lashaundra, Erin, Alissa, Bladyn, and Brielle; and three great-grandchildren Chloe, Gage and Cole. She is also survived by two brothers, Art (Irene) Mlenek and Ray (Bonnie) Mlenek both of Waseca; four sisters, Irene (Dick) Sutter of Morristown, Lucy (Clifford) Schmidtke of Morristown, Sharon (Norman) Malecek of Olivia, and Lisa (Mike) Kletschka of Waterville; one half-sister, Gertrude Spitzack of Waterville; many nieces and nephews; and by her dear friend, Luella Root of Waseca. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son-Dale, and one grandson-Jacob Wolf.

Visitation will be held at Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville on Monday, March 8, 2010 from 4-7 PM and continue on Monday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville. Burial will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
