1) All obituaries must either be submitted by a funeral home or crematory. We are not able to accept submissions from family and friends without a copy of a death certificate or without a professional or medical contact to confirm the death.
2) All obituaries with photos are considered paid obituaries. All paid obituaries must be prepaid prior to publication. If payment is not received the obituary notice will not print in full. A free version will run in its place.
3) Obituary rates are $8.90 per column inch and $5 for a photo.
4) Payment information must be received prior to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to publication. We accept Visa, Master Card and Discover. We do not accept American Express. The following information is required for payments: Credit Card type; card number; name on card; expiration date; three digit security code on reverse of card; and billing zip code.

5) Obituary notices will be placed on the Waseca County News website on the day their are received, Monday through Friday. Notices received over the weekend will be posted on Monday.
