I am writing to you today to discuss my current concerns with the legislation in Minnesota and the direction we are taking as a whole in terms of senior care.

The demand of human services is projected to rise dramatically in the coming decades as the baby boom generation ages.

Several years ago, I was serving several small churches is South Eastern Minnesota. During my time there, I became a regular at the local nursing home and care center.

Have you ever had the question about your calling? What has God called you to do or be?

It’s the end of the first year of my term. I have to say I have enjoyed it. There have been some bumps but all in all, it’s been very good.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, our society turns to thoughts of love.

It was announced last month that Minnesota is one of only nine states to win federal “Race to the Top” funding to spur improvements in early childhood education.

My dad, Mark, died two months ago. I’m back in Dubai, now, drinking a beer on the terrace much like he and I would enjoy in his back yard in Waseca on many an afternoon.
